Our Baton Rouge Veterinarians are Focused on Customer Satisfaction
Welcome to Jefferson Animal Hospital
We at Jefferson Animal Hospital know that your pets are very special to you -- and we believe that they deserve the highest levels of care. The primary emphasis here at our Baton Rouge veterinary hospital is customer satisfaction. We want for both you and your pet to have a great experience here: In fact, our motto is that we are the animal hospital "For Pets That Don't Get Treated Like Animals!"
A big part of making our Baton Rouge animal hospital, and general care animal clinic the very best it can be is the right staff. We have carefully selected a team of pet wellness, pet urgent care, pet acupuncture, and veterinarian staff members to serve you and your pets. Dr. Sam Haase and Dr. Frederic Michaelson opened Jefferson Animal Hospital of Baton Rouge for business in 1979, and each veterinarian still cares for pet patients and practices veterinary medicine full time along with their associate Dr. Chris Hayes. We also have Dr. Larry McCaskill, a certified veterinary acupuncturist as part of our team, so eastern healing methods are also available here, including herbal remedies. Our orthopedic surgeon is available for consultations and surgeries as well. Our entire staff regularly receives new education about advances in the animal care field. We consider it part of our job to be aware of every advance and the newest technology in our field so that our animal clinic can serve you better. Every member of our staff, from the front office receptionist to the veterinarians, is comfortable with -- and in fact, loves -- working with dogs, cats and all pets, something that is evident the moment you arrive at our Baton Rouge offices.
